X-Clan “Mainstream Outlawz” featuring The ARE

X-Clan got a new album ready. I did a few joints on it so go and check it out. Peace to Brother J. Here’s how the story goes.

X-clan was in Houston with Public Enemy about 2 years ago. When i go to shows, I usually have a beat cd on me. Alot of the time I don’t end up pass it to anyone and alot of the time I end up leaving before anything pops off. This particular night I was there for X-clan. Don’t get me wrong PE is my shit but i’ve seen them alot and I figured I would catch a few of their classics and be out. I had a cd with me but it didn’t look like I’d be passing it to anyone cause i was abit anti-social and stayed near the back room most of the night. X-clan was finished and PE was on stage and had already rocked through several classics. At this point, I was ready to make my exit. As I headed for the door, Brother J happened to be coming from the back and we crossed paths(literally). I said to myself, “lemme give this cd to him and be out”. I reached out and said  ”what up J” and handed him the cd. He took the cd and we moved on. About 2 months later my man Zen hit me up and asked me, “did you give Brother J a beat cd”? I told him yeah, at the show and he told me “Yo….He’s been trying to find out who you were and how to get in touch with you”.(Appearently the name and # rubbed off the cd). 2 days Later J was calling me up to talk about working together for his next album. 

You see…..Passing beat cd’s can work to some degree. Don’t give up, let the music out………
