I wish it was’nt true, but it is…..Lil Kim now has legal problems

After a year long effort into the making of what we thought Lil Kim’s album should be, it looks as though it will never happen. As you may have heard, Trackmasters/Brookland Media have filed a suit against Lil Kim. Before people start to assume things, Let me clear a few things up. Kim is a kool chick but she really does’nt know what she wants to do with her career. While working on this latest album, it was clear that Kim did’nt know the direction she wanted to go in. She wanted to work with this person, then she did’nt want to work with this person. She wanted to do this type of album, then she wanted to do another type of album. It was clear that the album was gonna take a long time to materialize and now it’s come to this. I really had high hopes in giving the streets another “Hardcore” album but it looks like that may be dead now.

VH1 Hip Hop Honors De La Soul

So as I watched the VH1 hip hop honors tonight, It was so good to see one of hip hop’s greatest groups get honored. De La Soul. I felt like a big part of me was getting honored because De La has represented a large part of what we do this for. I’ve been fortunate to build with Dave (Trugoy) over the past couple years and I want to give a HUGE congratulations to him, Pos and Maceo for something so well deserved.
