More from The AREchives

I did this joint awhile back. It was one of my favorite flips. Freddie Mercury is a monster vocalist and Queen has always been one of my favorite rock bands. When I chopped this joint up, it came real qick. It was just one of those joints that you do in like 20 mins. I also used this joint in the redbull big Tune battle.

I tend to turn away from obvious records. I never want to use something thats been used or is too familiar but there are those times when it’s really fun to take the obvious and flip it a new way. I’ll post some dialogue soon between me and Poke called “Keeping it Real” in which we talk about using the obvious.

I’m gonna start posting joints from The AREchives. I did this joint while I was at Battery Studios. 1 of about 60. The pic below is is something I had done while working on the Chopped Jacksons project. It obviously did’nt make the cut but you get to see it anyway. Hope you enjoy!

I had been at Battery studios for about 2 days in October. Poke had came out of the B room and said “yo, I need another batch of beats for Jay, he’s looking for one more joint for his album (AG)”. I opened my laptop and put about 7 joints on a jump drive and gave it to Poke. Now this was about 2 days before Jay was sending his album out to get mastered so I thought we’d hear back pretty quick if he liked anything. After a few days, no word back from jay so I called it a rap. This is one of the the 7 joints I had sent that day.
