D-Nice True Hip Hop Stories with Masta Ace
Posted in Music on April 20, 2009 by theareD-Nice did this video awhile back but after seeing it again, I wanted to post it.
Anyone that knows my hip hop background knows that I was a huge Juice Crew fan. From Kool G Rap, Big daddy Kane, Mc Shan, Masta Ace to Biz, I was in it. I finally got a chance to work with Masta Ace and his crew EMC on their last album and it was an honor.
If you haven’t seen this video, Ace tells an interesting story of the classic record “The Symphony”.
Zumbi of Zion I & The ARE present The Burnerz
Posted in Music on April 7, 2009 by theareMe and Zunbi have been working on a project now for quite some time. It should be about ready very soon. Zumbi reached out to me the other day and said he wanted to do a joint addressing all the police situations that had been going on thoughout Oakland and other cities. He asked if I had any NWAish type joints. Based on the subject matter I just felt that the track needed to be alittle chaotic so I made a beat on the spot chopping up some sounds and this was the result.

Cops Hate Kidz
Big up to Davey D for compiling this footage and putting this video together.
R.I.P Tony D
Posted in News on April 5, 2009 by theareMan, it seems like yesterday we talked on ichat. Tony was a kool dude and a Legend. Some of his records were what brought me even closer to hip hop. Poor Righteous Teachers “Rock this Funky Joint”, “Shakilah”, YZ “Thinking of a Master Plan” and the list goes on. He’ll be missed but his music will live on. My condolences go out to his family.

Back in Houston, Family, Friends and more Music as normal.
Posted in News on March 12, 2009 by theareSo I made it back to Houston and getting back to business here. I was ready to get back so I could tend to a few things here. First off, ”ALBUMS”. A few things in the works if you don’t already know. I’m working on full albums with Headkrack, The Niyat, Zumbi of Zion I and Together brothers. These albums are almost done. I’ll be posting joints for yall to hear soon. When these albums are ready, we’re gonna need people to get involved. Anyone interested in helping jumpstart these projects, let me know. Internet blast, blogs, interviews, message boards etc. We are still trying to get an idea of how we want to work these projects. Personally I’m leaning towards digital online.
I’ll be at SXSW March 20th – 23rd. If anyone wants to do any interviews during that time, please contact me and we’ll set it up. Also, if your gonna be doing a showcase, let me know and I’ll try and check it out.
I have alot of music being shopped at the moment. This industry is crazy though. Be on the lookout soon for a joint I did with Beenie Man. He killed it.
Video blogs coming soon…..
